Certified Dementia Practioner Certification Training
Process to Become a Certified Dementia Practioner
Becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) helps healthcare professionals build the knowledge and skills needed to deliver thoughtful, high-quality care to individuals living with dementia. The training goes beyond basic awareness, focusing on practical, real-world approaches to supporting patients at every stage of the condition. It covers essential areas such as effective communication strategies, understanding and responding to behavioral changes, and recognizing how dementia progresses over time. Participants also learn how to create more supportive environments, reduce stress for both patients and caregivers, and approach care with greater empathy and confidence. Overall, the program is designed to improve both patient outcomes and the day-to-day experience of those providing care.
