Resident Services Coordinator
Jeltz/McGuire Senior Communities with the Oklahoma City Housing Authority

SCOPE: Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the delivery of resident support services and case management at Authority Senior Projects.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Directly responsible to the Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents in securing needed assistance to include: budgeting assistance, health and mental health services, non-clinical counseling, personal care and housekeeping training. Evaluate appropriateness of services provided. Work with Authority staff and community agencies in the delivery of resident services. Prepare written reports on the case management provided. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Associates Degree in Gerontology or related Human Service field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. A minimum of one year of training in the aging process, elder services, disability services, eligibility for and procedures of Federal and state entitlement programs, legal liability issues relating to providing service coordination, drug and alcohol use and abuse by the elderly, and mental health issues.

Ability to meet the public and interact with residents and Authority personnel in a positive and effective manner. Ability to retain proprietary information as confidential. Ability to comply with Authority attendance policies.
Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record.

PHYSICAL: Ability to enter and access all areas of all buildings and dwelling units even if area is not handicapped accessible. Near vision sufficient to read reports, logs and computer products. Ability to write reports, maintain logs and enter data in the computer. Hearing and speech sufficient to communicate clearly with others by telephone and in person.

Director of Social Services

The Director of Social Services plans, develops, organizes, evaluates, and directs the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with NASW Code of Ethics. Additionally, the Director is responsible for ensuring maintained compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations, Zarrow Pointe policies and procedures, and standards of care for specialty practice. The Director of Social Services is a member of the interdisciplinary and management team. The Director of Social Services is responsible for fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate shall provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications
Education: Completion of Bachelors of Social Work or closely related degree from an accredited program.
Work Experience: Experience in a long term care community is not required but highly preferred. Prior experience with assigned patient population is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills are required. Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance is required.
